The Iowa City Foreign Relations Council presents Futureproofing Democracy Towards Hopeful and Achievable Elections in the U.S., a panel discussion featuring Caroline Tolbert, Barry Burden, and Julie Persons. Panelists will discuss current challenges facing elections in the United States, strategies for improving voter participation and confidence, and opportunities to strengthen democratic institutions.

This timely conversation is part of the Voices Into Votes program series and will provide attendees with insights from leading scholars and practitioners working at the intersection of elections, voting, and civic engagement.

A reception with refreshments will be held prior to the event.
